  • Full time, W-2 role
  • Company vehicle provided
  • Training and quality focus

Position details

About the role

The lead route technician sets the standard for the field team. While you will maintain your own regular route, you are also the first line of quality control and training for Quail Scoop. You will handle the most complex commercial properties and step in to resolve difficult access issues when standard technicians need support.

What you will do

You will service a dense route of residential backyards and commercial properties, walking tight grids, picking up waste, and managing pet waste stations. Beyond the daily sweep, you are responsible for onboarding new hires. You will guide new technicians through their mandatory two-week ride-along, teaching them how to safely check gates, communicate with clients via text, and properly apply our yard deodorizer spray.

You will also perform spot checks on active routes to verify the team is maintaining our strict sanitation standards, specifically checking that boots and tools are sprayed with kennel-grade disinfectant between every single yard.

What we look for

We need an experienced professional who understands the physical demands of working in the Las Vegas climate. You must be an excellent communicator, capable of training new staff patiently and speaking directly with commercial property managers when resolving route issues. You must have an impeccable driving record and a deep understanding of canine behavior, knowing how to safely handle properties with protective dogs.

Schedule

Like all our field staff, your routes run Monday through Saturday. Standard shifts begin at 7 AM. From June to September, you must shift your start time to 6 AM to safely manage the extreme summer heat and make sure the new hires you are training do the same.

Pay and benefits

This is a senior W-2 employment position. Hourly pay reflects the added leadership responsibilities and will be discussed directly at the interview. We provide a marked company vehicle for your routes, full uniforms, and the professional tools required to maintain our high service standards.
