How our Las Vegas routes work.

From the first quote request to the photo of your latched gate, here is what to expect from our technicians.

  • Quotes based on your yard
  • A regular route day and window
  • On the way and completion texts

Step one

Starting with a free quote

Because every yard is different, we do not use flat pricing. Instead, we ask for your address, your yard size and how many dogs use the space. We use your address to check our Las Vegas valley service area boundaries and determine which route makes the most sense for your location.

Our customer care coordinator reviews your details and replies with a specific price for a recurring plan, as well as a separate quote for the initial cleanup to clear existing waste. Requesting a quote does not commit you to service, and there is never a fee to ask for a price.

Your first visit and onboarding

Once you accept your quoted price, we get your property set up in our system.

  1. The initial cleanup

We schedule a deep sweep to clear all the existing waste. If your yard was cleared within the last two weeks, this is waived.

  2. Gate and dog details

We confirm your side gate combination and get the names and temperaments of any dogs that might be in the yard.

  3. Your regular schedule

You are assigned a fixed route day and a morning or afternoon window that stays consistent from week to week.

What happens on a regular visit

Our technicians follow this exact routine every time they stop at your house.

  1. On the way text

Our system sends you a text message when our route technician is on the way.

  2. Grid walk and bagging

We walk the yard in a grid, bag the waste securely and place it in your outdoor trash bin.

  3. Gate latched and checked

The technician pulls the side gate shut and tests the latch.

  4. Completion text with photo

We send a final text message with a photo of the latched gate before we drive away.

Your regular route responsibilities

To keep the trucks moving and our technicians safe, we need you to manage a few details.

  • Provide gate access

Leave the gate unlocked on your route day or provide a working code.

  • Secure protective dogs

Keep dogs that are anxious or have bitten inside the house during the visit window.

  • Clear toys and hoses

Pick up dog toys and scattered garden hoses so we can walk the grid safely.

  • Manage the lawn height

Keep natural grass mowed under six inches so the waste remains visible.

  • Let standing water drain

Allow monsoon rain or heavy sprinkler water to drain before we arrive.

  • Report a missed spot

If we miss a spot, send a photo within 24 hours so we can re-scoop it free.

Getting ready for the first sweep

The initial cleanup takes longer than a normal visit. Here is how to prepare.

  • Unlock the side gate

Check that the latch is clear and the lock is removed before your route day.

  • Bring all dogs inside

Friendly dogs may stay out, but anxious or protective dogs must be kept inside during the visit.

  • Remove large debris

Move any construction materials, pallets or large items blocking the yard.

  • Point out the boundaries

Let us know which yard areas or side runs are included in your quote.

  • Turn on the spigot

If you booked a turf rinse, make sure the outdoor water connection works.

  • Check your texts

Keep your phone handy for the on the way text so you know when we arrive.

How we manage property access

We take gate security seriously because we know your dogs rely on it.

  • Gate codes stay on file

We store your combination securely so you do not have to leave the gate unlocked.

  • The latch check

Our technicians pull every gate shut and pull against the latch to test the lock.

  • Locked gate policy

A locked gate with no code counts as a visit. We leave a door hanger, text you and the visit is not credited.

  • Physical keys

We prefer combination codes. We only manage physical gate keys by special arrangement.

The texts you will receive

We communicate automatically on route day so you are never left guessing.

  • On the way

Hello from Quail Scoop. A technician is on the way to your house. Please check that your side gate is unlocked and any anxious dogs are secured.

  • All done

Quail Scoop update: The yard is clear. We placed the tied bag in your bin and tested the gate. Attached is a photo of the secured latch.

  • Could not get in

Quail Scoop update: We stopped by but could not access the yard. We left a door hanger and will see you on your next scheduled route day.

Weather and holiday scheduling

How we adjust our regular routes for extreme Las Vegas weather and major holidays.

  • Summer routes from 6 AM

From June to September, routes start at 6 AM to beat the dangerous afternoon heat.

  • Rain and flash floods

We work through rain, but pause for lightning or flash-flood warnings.

  • Weather skips

If weather prevents us from working, those visits are made up on your next route day.

  • Major holidays

No routes on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Visits shift to the next route day.

From the residential routes

Hear how our communication makes yard cleanup simple for local dog owners.

  • “The text messages on route day are so helpful. I get a message when they are on the way, so I can bring the dogs in. After the visit, they send a completion text with a picture of the gate lock. I always know when the dogs can go back outside.”

    Maria C.

    Route communication

  • “Quail Scoop was very clear about what the initial cleanup would cost for my rock yard. The technician walked the agreed areas in a grid pattern and bagged three months of waste. We signed up for the weekly service, and the billing is simple since it charges on the first of the month.”

    David L.

    Initial cleanup transparency

  • “I forgot to unlock the side gate on a scheduled route day, so the technician left a door hanger and sent a text. I decided to give the office my combination code. The technicians handle the yard every week without me having to remember the lock, and they always spray their boots between yards.”

Questions about the process

Details on how our technicians handle billing, missed spots and the actual waste.

Call (702) 000-0000
Do I need to be home for the service?

No, you do not need to be home. As long as we have gate access, our technician handles the cleanup and sends a completion text.

Can my dogs stay in the yard?

Friendly dogs are welcome outside. Dogs that are anxious, protective or have a history of biting must be secured inside the house before we enter.

What do you do with the waste?

We bag it securely, tie it off and place it in your own outdoor trash bin. We can haul it away for a small add-on fee.

How do you avoid spreading bacteria?

Waste goes directly into a bag, never a shared bucket, and we sanitize our tools and footwear with a kennel-grade spray between every yard.

What if you miss a spot?

Send a text with a photo within 24 hours. We will return free of charge within two business days to clear the area, or we will credit the visit.

How do you handle the billing?

We bill monthly. Your first month is prorated, and then your card on file is charged on the first of each month for upcoming visits.
