Our concrete and gravel dog run process

We use a straightforward routine to clear out high-traffic pet enclosures.

  1. Remove the solid waste

We start by picking up all the solid waste from the concrete pad or gravel area.

  2. Rinse the surface

Using your outdoor spigot, we wash away the remaining fine residue on the concrete.

  3. Apply deodorizer

If requested, we spray our enzyme and probiotic deodorizer to control lingering odors.

Service benefits and requirements

What a regular run cleanup achieves, and the limits of the service.

  • Prevents hardened buildup

Regular removal and rinsing stops waste from baking onto the concrete in the summer sun.

  • Keeps the area sanitary

Regular waste removal keeps the accumulation from drying and baking onto the surface.

  • Working spigot required

We must have access to a functioning water connection to rinse the concrete pad.

  • No chemical cleaners

We do not use harsh chemicals or pressure washers to deep clean the concrete surface.

Technician rinsing an artificial turf dog run beside a Summerlin home
“We have a concrete dog run on the side of our house in Summerlin that gets heavy use from two large dogs. The technicians come twice a week to scoop the waste and rinse the concrete with our hose. I appreciate that they take a photo of the locked gate before they drive away.”

Questions about dog runs

How we manage concrete and side yard pet enclosures.

Call (702) 000-0000
Do you pressure wash the concrete?

No, we do not use pressure washers. We use standard hose pressure to rinse away the visible organic residue.

Do I need to supply the hose?

You just need to provide a working outdoor spigot and a connected hose. We use your hose to rinse the surface.

Does the rinse sanitize the dog run?

The water rinse removes physical residue, but it is not a chemical sterilization. It does not eliminate bacteria or parasites.

What if my dogs are protective?

Dogs that are protective, anxious or have bitten must be secured inside the house before we enter the dog run to clean.
