How we implemented a weekly grounds cleanup and station management schedule to end resident complaints at a master-planned community.

The challenge

The waste management challenge

This master-planned community in Green Valley faced a growing problem with uncollected dog waste. Residents were frequently complaining to the HOA board about waste left on the shared walking paths and in the central greenbelts.

The community had three existing pet waste stations, but the groundskeeping staff struggled to keep them stocked with bags. When the dispensers ran empty, the waste accumulation on the surrounding lawns increased dramatically, creating an ongoing nuisance.

Our recommended plan

After walking the property, we submitted a written proposal with a targeted weekly schedule.

  • Weekly service schedule

A fixed weekly route day to maintain the property consistently.

  • Grounds cleanup

A recurring sweep of the main walking paths and central greenbelts.

  • Station restocking

Restocking the bags and emptying the bins at all three existing stations.

  • Monthly reporting

A detailed service report emailed to the HOA board at the end of each month.

Implementation process

How we put the new waste management plan into action for the community.

  1. Initial deep cleanup

We performed a complete sweep of the grounds to remove the backlog of accumulated waste.

  2. Station maintenance transition

We took over the restocking and emptying of the existing stations from the groundskeeping staff.

  3. Ongoing weekly routes

A named technician services the property every week and submits the service records.

“Quail Scoop manages the stations and grounds for our entire master-planned community. They provide a certificate of insurance and send a monthly report. The resident complaints dropped off after the first few weeks of service.”
