Spring Valley RV resort.

How we implemented a twice weekly grounds cleanup and station management schedule to control waste accumulation at a high-turnover RV park.

The challenge

The waste management challenge

This RV resort in Spring Valley struggled to manage the waste left by short-term guests. Because visitors were often traveling with multiple dogs and only staying a few nights, it was difficult for resort management to enforce clean-up rules.

The resort's two shared dog runs were overwhelmed by the volume of use. The existing pet waste stations were frequently overflowing by the weekend, and the accumulated waste in the gravel runs was creating a strong odor in the Las Vegas heat, leading to complaints from guests in nearby spots.

Our recommended plan

After walking the property, we submitted a written proposal with a targeted twice weekly schedule.

  • Twice weekly service schedule

Two fixed route days to handle the heavy turnover of resort guests.

  • Grounds cleanup

A recurring sweep of the two main dog runs and surrounding greenbelts.

  • Station management

Restocking the bags and emptying the bins at the four resort stations.

  • Monthly reporting

A detailed service report emailed to the resort manager at the end of each month.

Implementation process

How we put the new waste management plan into action for the resort.

  1. Initial deep cleanup

We performed a complete sweep of the dog runs to remove the backlog of accumulated waste.

  2. Station maintenance transition

We took over the restocking and emptying of the stations from the resort maintenance staff.

  3. Ongoing twice weekly routes

A named technician services the property twice a week and submits the service records.

“We have constant turnover at the RV park, so we cannot police every guest. Quail Scoop empties the stations and sweeps the main dog run twice a week. It keeps the park looking professional and stops the complaints.”
