When you hire a professional service to handle the backyard cleanup, you expect reliable, thorough work. Our technicians walk a strict grid pattern so the agreed area is checked before they leave. However, to do our job safely and effectively, we rely on homeowners to prepare the property before their scheduled route day.
Manage your gate access
The most common reason a yard does not get cleaned is a locked side gate. Our technicians run a tight schedule across the Las Vegas valley, and they cannot jump fences or wait outside for twenty minutes.
You must leave the gate unlocked on your route day or provide us with a combination code. We strongly prefer keeping a combination code on file in our secure system, as it means the technician can get in even if you forget what day it is. If your gate is locked and we do not have a code, it counts as a completed visit. The technician will leave a door hanger, send a text message to notify you, and move to the next property. The visit will not be credited to your account.
Secure protective dogs
We love dogs, and friendly pets are always welcome to stay outside in the yard while we work. However, any dog that is highly anxious, territorial, protective of its space, or has ever bitten must be secured safely inside the house before we enter.
Our system sends you a text message when our truck is heading to your neighborhood. Use this “on the way” text as your reminder to bring nervous dogs indoors. If a technician arrives and judges a yard unsafe due to an unsecured, protective dog, they will not enter. Just like a locked gate, this counts as a completed visit and will not be credited.
Clear the obstacles
We cannot clean what we cannot see or reach. Before your route day, walk the yard and pick up any scattered dog toys, garden hoses, or tools. If you are having work done on the house, check that construction debris or pallets are not blocking the areas we need to sweep.
If you have an older home in Sunrise Manor or Paradise with a natural grass lawn, you must keep the grass mowed to under six inches. Heavy leaf cover in the fall or tall grass will hide the waste from our technicians.
Manage the water
We cannot service a yard with standing water. If your sprinklers flood the patio or if a recent monsoon storm has left puddles across your artificial turf, allow the water to drain completely before your scheduled window.
If you have requested an artificial turf rinse as an add-on service, you must check that your outdoor hose spigot is turned on and functioning properly. We use your hose and water connection to wash away the residue.
Communicate specific boundaries
When you start your regular route, make sure we know which parts of the property need attention. If you have a dog run on the side of the house, or if a specific rock bed is off-limits, communicate those boundaries to our office so we can put them in the technician’s route notes.
By keeping the gate unlocked, securing protective dogs, and clearing the lawn, you allow our team to provide a clean yard every single week.
