Weekly or twice weekly, choosing a frequency

Choosing the right service schedule depends entirely on how many dogs you have and what kind of surface they use for a bathroom.

When you request a quote for recurring pet waste removal, the first decision you have to make is how often you want us to come out. We do not use flat pricing; we quote based on the specific needs of your property. Choosing the wrong frequency usually leads to a yard that always feels dirty, especially during the intense Las Vegas summers.

We offer three main residential schedules: twice weekly, weekly, and every other week (biweekly). Here is how to know which one is right for your home.

The weekly standard

A weekly visit is the most chosen plan on our routes, and it is the standard rhythm that keeps most Las Vegas backyards clean and usable. If you have one or two dogs and an average-sized yard, a once-a-week sweep will generally keep the accumulation under control.

Weekly service means you are assigned a fixed route day (Monday through Saturday) and a morning or afternoon arrival window. We walk the yard in a grid, bag the waste for your bin, and check that the gate is secured. If you stick to this schedule, the waste never has enough time to overwhelm the landscaping.

When you need twice weekly

While weekly service works for most, certain situations demand a twice weekly route. If any of the following apply to you, a single weekly visit will leave your yard unmanageable by day five.

Three or more dogs: An average dog produces about three-quarters of a pound of waste a day. If you have three large dogs, that is nearly sixteen pounds of waste sitting in your yard every single week. You simply cannot wait seven days to pick that up without creating a health hazard and a terrible odor.

Small artificial turf areas: In many of the newer subdivisions in Enterprise and Summerlin, the backyards are small and covered in artificial grass. Turf traps heat and odors rapidly. If you have two dogs using a small patch of synthetic grass in July, you need us out there twice a week to remove the solid waste before it bakes into the plastic fibers.

Heavily used patios: If your dogs do their business right next to your outdoor dining table or on the concrete pool deck, you want that mess gone. A twice weekly schedule keeps the high-traffic living areas clean so you can actually use your patio.

The every other week option

We offer a biweekly (every other week) schedule, but we rarely recommend it unless your situation fits a very narrow criteria. Waiting fourteen days between cleanups allows bacteria to settle, attracts flies, and gives parasites like roundworm time to infect the soil.

An every other week plan only suits a household with a single, small dog that spends most of the day indoors, combined with a very large yard. If the accumulation is slow and spread out over a massive space, you might get away with a biweekly sweep. For everyone else, it is simply not frequent enough.

Adjusting your plan

Because our service is entirely month to month with no long-term contract, you are never locked into a schedule. Many of our clients switch to a twice weekly plan during the brutal summer heat to keep the odors down, and then drop back to a weekly schedule in the winter.

When you submit a quote request, our customer care coordinator will review your dog count and yard size and recommend the frequency that will actually keep your property clear.
